About Herberg de Compagnie
Herberg de Compagnie is Enkhuizen’s premier hospitality concept. A bistro, restaurant, pub and hotel all in one — since 2013. We use a Josper charcoal grill, serve dry-aged meat, and have a menu that changes with the seasons. We also host lively corporate parties and group events for up to 150 people. No boring little kitchen — there’s always something going on here.
What will you do?
As head chef, you’re in charge of the kitchen. You’ll help shape our seasonal menu and ensure a consistently high standard for both lunch and dinner. You’ll work independently, contribute ideas for dishes and ensure your team runs smoothly.
- Creating and preparing a varied seasonal menu (meat, fish, vegetarian)
- Managing and supervising kitchen staff
- Monitoring quality, food safety and cost price

What are we looking for?
- Proven experience as a head chef or sous chef
- A passion for quality meat and barbecuing
- You are independent, down-to-earth and committed to quality
- You can manage a small team and keep on top of things even when things get busy
- Knowledge of HACCP and cost control
